How to lighten dark knees and elbows -Easy steps to legs like Nicki Minaj!! By Charlene Palmer How to lighten dark knees and elbows, is a question that millions of black women, throughout the world, ask in utter despair! When black women, with dark knees and elbows, look at beautiful celebrities like Nicki Minaj, Kelly Rowland, or even Instagram celebrities, and see how clear their legs are…they feel pure depression. (This is definately NOT sexy!) Uneven skintones, around the knee and elbows, makes a lot of black women feel, very self-conscious. Women who suffer from dark knees and elbows, normally avoid short sleeve tops, and short skirts because they are ashamed and embarrassed. This is especially acute, when they decide to wear fashionable, revealing outfits on a night out, and it is a source of major frustration, because so many young women, simply will not wear the clothes they would like to, because they cannot, due to having such dark knees. In order to divert attention from dark knees, and elbows, when wearing short skirts, and dresses, many black women use an inordinate amount of moisturiser, in an effort to create a high gloss look, to cover ordinarily ashy, dry, overly dark knees. It can be noted, that the skin on hyperpigmented, dark knees and elbows, is usually thicker and prone to dryness, and in some cases takes on an elephant hide, type of appearance. Falling over frequently as children, in the playground is the main cause of a lot of darker knees. Although running around as children is fun, by the time a young woman enters adolescence, having darker knees and elbows is a source of embarrassment and shame for them. As black women get older, and more sophisticated, and  have not taken the time, to treat this unsightly condition due to a perceived  lack of product options, this means that most black women, choose to simply tolerate the condition. Fishnet tights, skintight jeans, long dresses, and a hell of a lot of cocoa butter on the knees and elbows, has been the de- facto method, of hiding black, ashy knees and elbows Celebrities like Kelly Rowland, Kenya Moore, Blac Chyna, Ciara, Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, and Nicki Minaj all have even skintones, with uniform coloured knees and elbows. A beautiful, even skintone on the knees and elbows,  accentuates, whatever revealing outfits they wear on the red carpet, and makes them appear, as perfected and flawless black women. Imagine if Beyonce or even Blac Chyna, had dark, ashy Knees and elbows?? Its certain that the press would never let them live it down, and their careers, would soon go into freefall! A young black woman, with ashy, thick dark knees and elbows, will definitely feel frustrated, seeing images of perfection. Even the numerous Instagram models, who take pictures with a smartphone, such as Brittish Heavens, have perfect and uniform complexions, without filters or photoshop. So, what are the solutions? How do you get rid of dark knees & elbows? Let us look at some home based remedies first, for those sisters on a budget. 1) Lemon or lime, rubbed into the knees and elbows, and left for at least 20 minutes.         Wash this off, with warm water. 2) A mixture of coconut oil, and lemon after each shower and bath. This is made, by two tablespoons          coconut oil, and one squeezed lemon. Rub this mixture, into the knees and elbows on a daily basis, for up to 5 minutes each time. Leave the mixture on the knees and elbows for at least 20 minutes before taking a shower. Lemon assists in exfoliating the skin, and has very good, natural skin lightening properties. 3) Another method, which you use in conjunction with the above, is to create a sugar scrub mixture.         This will assist in softening the hard, black skin, on the knees and elbows. This is prepared by mixing, sugar and olive oil, or coconut oil until it becomes a thick paste. This can help soften the skin on the knees and elbows. It is prepared, by using 2 heaped spoonful’s, of brown sugar, 3 spoonful’s of olive or coconut oil, one teaspoon of butter, and mixed. Squeezing some lemon will also assist. Rub this mixture into dark elbows and knees, for 5 to 8 minutes continually. This will help to exfoliate the skin, remove dead surface skin cells, and lighten the knees and elbows over time. All the aforementioned, is to be done, at least twice per week, to get good results. However, what people want to know, is what types of products, do celebrities use to get rid of black knees and elbows? After all, singers and actresses do not come into the industry looking perfect. Indeed, black women want fast acting solutions, that will give a flawless result, and get rid of black elbows and knees. It is a problem, that literally destroys black women’s self- esteem, especially when faced by cruel and very nasty comments on social media. Celebrities like Nicki Minaj, and Sevyn Streeter, use botanical based complexion creams, specially formulated for black skintypes, that help in balancing, the skintone, and create a uniform skintone on the leg and elbow area’s. Plant based complexion creams, that contain vitamin A, C and E, plant enzymes, collagen, neuropeptides, minerals and fruit acids help to soften the skin, and remove the “elephant” look that so many black women, have on their knees and elbows. Additionally, using an enzyme exfoliator, regularly on the affected areas, will assist in getting rid of dark elbows and knees extremely fast. There ARE solutions for black women, if they seek it, to getting rid of black, ashy elbows and knees. There is simply no fucking excuse for black women, to live with ashy, dark knees and elbows. This is the 21st century damnit!!!! WARNING!!!! One warning though: Buying skin lightening creams, or any black skin care products, from local beauty stores, owned by Koreans or Pakistanis, is a dangerous proposition. The skin lightening product’s that they sell, are often cheaply made in South Asia, and contain extremely dangerous chemicals. Thyroid issues, blindness, skin burning, further hyperpigmentation and even cancer are the result of using such products, and it is completely insane for black women to buy such products, from people that clearly hate them.   To solve the problem, it is best to use high quality black skin care products, that have been specially formulated for black skin, by dermatologists. This here is how black beauty is supposed to be done! This is how you keep your knees and elbows, looking good!!
